The LIE Spring/Summer 2016 collection took us to a magical land far far away from the familiar New York Fashion Week energy, equipped with oversized dandelion stems and magical nymph models. The airy and whimsical garments brought a freshness to the space. The collection, entitled “Bojagi” meaning the study of geometric patchwork construction and modern lightness, showcased translucent tunics, cutouts on silks and linens, draped trenches and origami-like stitching.
The color palette was equally light, tranquil and refreshing. We mainly saw whites, pale blues and metallics. The interplay between color and fabrics created a unique story, carving a path for innovation in traditional silhouettes, in line with this season's overarching themes.
