Hemant & Nandita

This supremely talented husband and wife duo met in fashion school and took their collaboration to the next level – both personally and professionally. The basic ideology behind each of their collections is to bring forth India's traditional elements and showcase them on a global front.
Their collections always feature a unique melding of the traditional with the contemporary and their Spring/Summer 2015 collection "The Knot" does exactly this. This collection takes inspiration from the ikat prints the duo came across in Istanbul and reintroduces this age old pattern in a new way, through the use of vibrant colors and embroideries. "The Knot" signifies the exquisite knot that the designers have tied between traditional layouts and contemporary silhouettes. This season their silhouettes also take on a retro vibe.
Their Fall/Winter 2014 collection “Plush Decoded” also does not disappoint – traditional thread embroidery on leather bomber jackets, “dabka” embroidery birds on wool, embroidered leather dresses, and crystal and stonework highlighted sweatshirts all contribute to their unique spin on international street style.
Signature Look: Indian elements presented in a contemporary way, distinctive motifs, and elaborate embroideries and embellishments.
