Nachiket Barve

A true international fashion star, Nachiket Barve has been lauded by fashion critics the world over, including writers from London, Paris, Buenos Aires, Italy and beyond. Barve has a global aesthetic that borrows heavily from his Indian heritage while remaining committed to crisp, modern, new and international design. A celebrity favorite in India, Barve drew inspiration for his Fall/Winter 2014 collection from his time in Auckland. He was fascinated by the Maori tribe of New Zealand and the “Moko” tattoos that adorn them are the driving motive behind his show stopping “Moko Dress”. The dramatic silver fern – the national emblem of New Zealand and an important part of Maori iconography – has also been deftly woven into his collection.
Signature Look: Refined luxury, sophisticated glamour, and a modern interpretation of Indian textiles and embroideries.
