Yasutoshi Ezumi graduated from the illustrious Central Saint Martin College of Art & Design with a BA in Fashion and consequently began his career at the fashion powerhouses of Alexander McQueen and Aquascutum in London. He launched his eponymous fashion label in 2010, and was recently hailed by the Japan Times as a “master of balance” and a “designer to keep an eye on.” Ezumi was also recently the recipient of the 6th Annual DHL Designer Award at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week in Tokyo in March 2014.
His Fall/Winter 2014 collection titled "Designare" originating from the Latin word meaning "to mark out or plan", is inspired by the Eames House designed by Charles & Ray Eames. Inspired by the concept of the Eames house, Ezumi’s collection pushes the idea of a new style of craftsmanship in the era of ready-made.
